Hey all! I'm hosting the 13th Aspiring Bakers for November 2011. Many thanks to SSB for giving me this oppurtunity to host the Aspiring Bakers for this month :)

Share with us your favourite cupcakes, they can be plain ones, or use your creativity to decorate those cupcakes.

How to join?
Step 1 :
Make cupcakes, can be frosted or plain ones, in the month of November 2011. (*muffins are NOT included for this theme)
Step 2 :
Post it on your blog between 01 November 2011 and 30 November 2011.
Your post must include the recipe or link to the original recipe. If you are using a recipe from a book, please include the title of the book too.
Any entries that are posted outside the date range will not be accepted.
Any entries that do not include a recipe or link to the original recipe will not be accepted too.
Step 3 :
Please mention that you are submitting your post to Aspiring Bakers #13: Enjoy Cupcakes! (November 2011) hosted by Min of Min's Blog and provide a link back to this post here.
Entries will not be accepted if the above is not included.
Step 4 :
Email to smyeap@gmail dot com in the following format:

p/s: Hey all, I received a lot of queries on the differences between cupcakes and muffins, sorry for the confusion, I should have elaborate more on this. Actually I think it's not easy to draw a line between cupcakes and muffins. However, I tried my very best to read up and make some conclusions on this :)
A cupcake is any cake batter mixed with the straight method or creaming method made into the shape of a cup. Thus, cupcakes are miniature cakes. They are usually frosted and decorated. They are sweet by definition, coming in flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet.
A muffin is any quickbread (mixed by muffin mixing method) that is in the shape of a cupcake. It is simply mixing the wet and dry ingredients together and some
recipes do not even require the use of an electronic beater or whisk. Muffin is still considreed something that is relatively healthy. It's not too
sweet, is perhaps made with whole wheat flour, and is more likely to be
loaded with fruit than candy. A muffin can also be savory instead of
sweet. The texture is usually dryer and slightly denser than their
cupcake cousins.

Angel, thanks for suggestion, I get what you mean :) I've listed down the differences between cupcakes and muffins, so muffin-method is not acceptable for this theme.
